FINDON STORE RE-OPENS 28/10

After 5 months of being closed, the Findon Village Store and Post Office re-opens, with opening hours being Mon-Sat 6am to 7pm, Sunday 6am to 12 noon.   

FINDON STORE NEWSLETTER 1/10

Work is progressing on the Village Store thanks to a great team of volunteers. The focus this week is on finishing the painting of the shelves etc.

FINDON STORE VACANCIES - 26/9  

The Findon Village Store are currently looking for paid staff to work from 16:30 to 19:30 on various evenings. This is an ideal opportunity for 17/18 year olds who can spare some time after school or college.

Now the celebrations are over, work starts on getting the Village Store and Post Office re-opened. This week you will here more information, but in the meantime an online photo album has been setup to record our progress. Please click here for more info and access to the album.

WE DID IT!!!

If you haven't already heard, we were successful in our bid for the Village Store and Post Office. We were also able to secure it with sufficient funds remaining to cover all costs necessary to re-open the store.

More information will follow, but in the meantime a big thank you to all those who provided support both financially and behind the scenes.

We have now raised 85% of the target funds for the Community Shop. For the latest update please click here

FINDON COMMUNITY SHOP UPDATE 16/6

We have now reached 48.25% of our target. Below 100 year old Frank Kornicki shows the target thermometer. It is those like Frank who rely on the services provided by the Village Store and Post Office that will suffer the most if we lose it.

FINDON COMMUNITY SHOP UPDATE 15/6

As of yesterday evening, we have reached 31% of our target. Not bad for the first 2 days, although still a way to go.  

MONEY THERMOMETER 14/6

Findon's 'Men in Sheds' have kindly built a Money Thermometer to show the progress of investment pledges. During the day the Thermometer is placed outside Peckhams Butchers and will be updated regularly.

Following the closure of the Village Store and Post Office, a meeting was held on Monday evening to discuss what the village can do to save the services it provides.

ADVICE ABOUT NEWSPAPER VOUCHERS 13/6

Following the close of the Findon Newsagency, you can request a refund or replacements if you have not had your newspaper vouchers returned from the shop owner.

Contact you voucher supplier to request a refund or replacement.
